Margaret Houdmont
Margaret Houdmont is a solicitor and Director of MH Legal which was set up by herself and Pam White in 2004 in order to provide advice and representation in Lincolnshire and the East Midlands. Margaret has been working in this area of the law since 1989 being an accredited panel member for over 20 years. She also has represented in family and criminal law. Margaret covers Nottinghamshire and the whole of the East Midlands.
Pam White
Pam White is a Director of MH Legal and Chartered Legal Executive and an accredited panel member who has provided advice and representation in mental health law since 1977. She has also advised and represented in family law. Pam covers North and North East Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire and parts of Yorkshire but also covers anywhere in the East Midlands. Pam is experienced in advising and representing patients who are deaf.
Gail Guest
Gail Guest is a solicitor and Director of MH Legal who joined the firm in 2010 as the firm expanded into Yorkshire. She has advised and represented in mental health law since 1987 being an accredited panel member for over 25 years, and also has experience in criminal law. Gail covers Yorkshire and Humberside.
Dale Brownless
Dale Brownless is a solicitor who qualified in 2004. He joined MH Legal in in 2016 to develop and expand the work of the firm in the East Midlands, Lincolnshire and Humberside. Dale has advised and represented in mental health law since 2010 and is an accredited member of the Law Society mental health panel. Dale is a Higher Courts Advocate (Criminal) and has a special interest in advising in respect of forensic detention under the Mental Health Act.
Laura Taylor
Laura Taylor is a solicitor who qualified in 2009. She joined MH Legal in 2016 to develop and expand the work of the firm in the East Midlands, Lincolnshire and Humberside. Throughout her career she has specialised in mental health law and is an accredited member of the Law Society Mental Health panel. Laura has a keen interest in representing elderly clients.
Jill Hawkins
Jill Hawkins is a solicitor who joined MH Legal in 2013 to develop and expand the work we do in the East Midlands. She is a member of the Law Society Mental Health Panel and has represented in mental health law since 2009 in addition to her criminal courts experience. She is a Higher Courts Advocate (Criminal) and has a special interest in advising in respect of forensic detention under the Mental Health Act.
